Focus Group Prismatic Consulting is teaming up with the San Luis Valley Food Coalition to explore new fundraising opportunities. They will be visiting in October to host focus groups and chat with participants. They would love to hear your ideas and feedback!

Rio Grande Farm Park collaborated with the Boys and Girls Club's Fifth Day Programming to host an all-day event on Friday, September 13th. It was the last Friday of the first 6-week block of Fifth Day Programming, and some GOCO grant representatives visited, so we went all out. GOCO's local SLVGO coalition members, including Alamosa Parks and Rec, Alamosa Bicycle Coalition, and Adams State Adventure Program, were also involved, hosting different stations for the kids (3rd to 12th graders). Lastly, come on by and lend a hand Saturday for Volunteer Workday or Catch us at ASU's Homecoming Parade!

It’s been an exciting market season at Mercadillo en el Rio! From the freshest and most natural veggies in the Valley to baby goats, crafty creations, and a wild moment when a sheriff officer helped catch a runaway chicken—this season has been unforgettable. We even learned bike safety at our fun-filled bike rodeo!

Mark your calendars for our last market on October 2nd, 3pm-9pm where we’ll celebrate our incredible farmers, vendors, volunteers, and YOU! Enjoy live music by the Celtic (K)nots, a bike rodeo, pumpkin carving, and more! Plus, if you buy veggies from our farmers, you’ll get a free taco. Don’t miss this festive finale!
