One of our missions at the SLV Local Foods Coalition is to get more local foods on local plates. We do our best to show you where to find local producers and foods, but there’s one thing only you can do: ask for it.

Next time you’re at the grocery store, a restaurant or the corner store, ask, “What’s local?” Let caterers and event planners know you’d like local food on the menu. If they don’t know where to find it, send them to our Local Roots Guide or have them contact us.

Business owners won’t know we want local food unless we tell them.
